Klaus currently is back from his imprisonment in New Orleans along with his family trying to make New Orleans safe to bring his daughter back home. He is not only dealing with Marcel but a new threat that wants to strip his family of everything. Klaus is unaware that Hope has been in Caroline's care while Hayley and Caroline were finding a cure for his family.
Elijah was cured of Marcel's bite finally after years being apart from his family. He is helping Hayley deal with not only finding out about the threat that was coming for his family, but also Katherine had been coming to him in dreams as well as Tatia. Elijah has become more protective of his family and will bring Hope back at all costs.
Rebekah managed to get her hex under control until there could be a cure for her, and she has been lying to her brothers not telling them that she was still cursed. She is currently looking for a cure by getting in contact with some old coven contacts with the help from Kol.
After years of finding a way, Kol managed to bring Davina back from the other side thanks to a few witches who owed him a favor, and now cured of the bite he wants Marcel to suffer for what he has done, but is also helping his sister find the cure for her hex.
Freya is trying to keep her family from falling apart, but also working on a barrier spell to make their home safe for Hope's return. She is unsure how to feel about Hayley leaving her niece in Mystic Falls. She knows her sibling's enemies were going to war with Marcel and some new threats he had coming from all across the world.
Finn Mikaelson
Finn was brought back by Katherine in a new body with no memories of his family. he is working for Katherine to take out his own family without knowing.
Marcel is beyond mad that Hayley had managed to find a way to not only rescue Klaus, but also bring back his family. He managed to hire a powerful witch to curse Hayley wanting to punish her and the Mikaelson's for what they did. He is also currently hunting for Hope and Caroline this time Marcel wants to make sure all the Mikaelson's suffer.
Hope was given to Caroline when she was young and helped being raised while her mother was hunting for the cure for her family. She has been raised by Hayley and Caroline as two mothers along with Caroline's twins. Hope has never got to meet her dad or at least remembers, but she is wanting to meet her family. She lives a normal life away in another state.

Davina was brought back thanks to Kol, but there is always a consequence when it comes to bringing back someone. She is plagued by nightmares, and also paranoia from what she went through on the other side. Her magic is out of control, and no one knows that she is back from the dead.
Hayley has become not the same woman the Mikaelson's knew she was much more dangerous tearing down anyone in her path to find cures for her family. Hayley has made plenty of enemies over the five years that are currently hunting her. She gave Hope to Caroline to care for as well as she helped to move in to help Care raise the girls, but also help Care with the threats that were coming to Mystic Falls. She is currently in New Orleans Elijah and Klaus are helping to keep Hayley under control. Right now she was hexed and is dangerous to be around her child.
We know Cami has died thanks to Lucien, but she is a ghost right now helping the Mikaelson's to defeat Marcel. Cami is dead so you need to message Admin with a way to bring her back. She will be in a new body with no memory of who she is.
Vincent Griffith
Vincent has a lot going on trying to keep the peace within the city. He is dealing with Marcel and the Mikaelson's. Though right now he considers Hayley and Rebekah a threat to the city with the hexes that have plagued them. He is trying to help find them a cure.

Elena Gilbert
Elena has returned with Damon back to Mystic Falls after finding out that Katherine has come back bringing along old friends who are dead to take out each one of her friends. She is also hunting for Caroline who has vanished as well. She is trapped in Mystic Falls as a barrier has been set keeping everyone in Mystic Falls.
Damon Salvatore
Not happy to be back in Mystic Falls he is stuck in Mystic Falls with his brother and Elena. He plans on helping his brother find a way to bring Katherine down even seeking outside sources such as Klaus and his family.
Stefan was brought back when the void had opened taking him from his peace, but he is now helping his brother and his friends to take down their latest threat who is Kai and Katherine teaming together. He is concerned about Caroline not sure where she could be.
Caroline has a lot going on in her life now taking care of not only her twins but also Hope as well who she has had for five years. Of course with Hayley's help, but now Hayley has been cursed, Caroline moved along with her twins outside of Mystic Falls keeping under the radar with cloaking spells to keep herself and Hope safe from threats. She always reminds Hope who her family is right now they live a normal life, and everyone thinks they have perished.
Bonnie was returned and given more power thanks to the ancestors to help defeat Katherine but she is also in New Orleans wanting Freya and Davina's help to close the void since her magic wasn't going to be enough.
Jeremy Gilbert
He is currently trying to help his sister find a way to break away from Mystic Falls and get her far away from Katherine.
Matt Donovan
He currently is helping Caroline take care of Hope, Josie, and Lizzie in Alaric absence. He also works as the Sherif of Mystic Falls and dealing with the trouble going on.
Katherine has come for revenge against those who not only killed her daughter but also caused her hell that also includes the Mikaelson's as well. She has ripped open the veil to the other side taking control of Tatia but also cursing Hayley as well. She put a barrier over Mystic Falls keeping everyone from leaving. She is also hunting for Hope Mikaelson.
Alaric Saltzman
Alaric is unaware where his twin daughters or Caroline is and he is searching worried for them. He is also helping his friends try to find a way to close the void that Katherine has opened, but also trying to keep past enemies from coming back.
Lorenzo St John
He is back from the other side hunting for Caroline.
Lizzie Saltzman
Lizzie is currently a teenager changed along with Hope living with Caroline in Boston. Right now she is a high school student, and is practicing her magic to help find a way to defeat Katherine, but also reunite Hope with her family.
Josie Saltzman
Josie is currently a teenager changed along with Hope living with Caroline in Boston. Right now she is a high school student, and is practicing her magic to help find a way to defeat Katherine, but also reunite Hope with her family.
Tatia has been ripped from the other side thanks to a witch who wants control of her to go against Elijah and his family, but also get under both Niklaus and Elijah skin. She is right now under control of Katherine thanks to Kat's status as queen. She is trying to break free from Katherine and seeks help from the Mikaelsons.
