New Orleans - Five Years after the Fall of the Mikaelsons
Five years the fall of the Mikaelson's and the power that Marcel held now king of New Orleans. Everything seemed to be doing good that is until old enemies of the Mikaelson's were coming back thanks to the rip of the void that has brought back some deceased characters those even Marcel could not fight alone. Hayley has currently left Hope in the care of Caroline since she was a baby for five years while hunting for the cure to free her family, and bring her daughter home. She and Caroline moved to Boston letting Hope and Caroline's girls lead a normal life away from the Supernatural, but when Hope was four Hayley had to leave her because of a curse placed on her that would unleash the darker part of her hybrid. Finally five years later she managed to awake Elijah, Freya, Kol, and also freed Rebekah from the hex, but unaware that it didn't work only made the hex worse. Klaus and Elijah are working together along with the rest of the family to rid of their enemies, and also try to locate Hope who has vanished along with Caroline.
Freya is working with the newly resurrected Davina along with Bonnie to find a way to close the void to keep Mikael and Esther from coming back, but also looking for a way to stop Katherine and try to unbind Hayley from the curse placed on her by Katherine thanks to a witch. Elijah is helping Hayley, but he also is fighting his own demons in the form of Tatia who somehow has managed to return to the living in New Orleans with no memory where she was, or what has happened in her life. Klaus has changed he wants to be a better man, but worried that Hope and Caroline has vanished and is looking for them at all costs, but also plotting a way to seek revenge on Marcel going back to his cruel ways, but still keeping the good for his daughter. Rebekah is fighting the hex not letting her siblings know and seeks the help from Kol and his friends who are witches to find a cure knowing Hayley was close to finding one.
Hope is currently living with Caroline, Lizzie, and Josie in Boston unaware what her family is and living a normal life, but she knows that she is not normal and a Tribrid. Caroline has raised Hope pretty much as her own, and though she has no contact with anyone, she made sure to have witches magically hide them from everyone. Her girls were the most important things and she doesn't want Katherine or any others hunting for her girls for their magic. So she changed Hope's name to Hope Forbes to keep her hidden. Hope knows of her parents, but she is starting to gain a lot of power and doesn't know what to do with it.

Currently Katherine has unleashed hell onto Mystic Falls by opening the void to let those deceased who have been in hell out for some fun against the Salvatores. Elena and Damon have returned as well as Stefan along with the others to find a way to stop Katherine and close the veil. Katherine brought back Tatia sending her to New Orleans to toy with Elijah, and what is her plan simple make everyone suffer for what they have done not only to her, but also daughter.
Thanks to a witch, Katherine had all Mystic Falls covered with a barrier well no one could leave without burning alive, but luckily Caroline and Bonnie had escaped which did not please Kat one bit. She is also working with Marcel knowing he is trying to bring down the Mikaelson's including Klaus who Katherine hates with a passion, and with Kai by her side Mystic Falls was suffering.
Bonnie is in New Orleans wanting help from Freya and Davina, but also wanting to find Caroline as well knowing that Katherine was hunting for Caroline and Hope. Bonnie needed to warn the Mikaelson's, but she also has limits being that she was brought back from the dead herself.
